The new season-opener tournament is open to everyone, and has two parts:
The first part is a match between two-person teams, taking the better score of the two players on each hole. We will select winning teams based on the low net score (based on 90% of the USGA handicap) over 9 holes.
The second part is the “inter island” match. The winning island will be chosen based on the three lowest *individual* scores from each island. This means that players participating in the inter-island match should play out every hole, even if their score may not count in the better ball match on any particular hole.
